You Can Find Quite A Few Animated Movie Stars On A Southern California Vacation
In recent months I’ve had the chance to go to most of the seven major theme parks in So Cal. Between them all, you can immerse yourself in the world of a bunch of your favorite TV and movie characters.
The first place we think of is Disneyland, the hangout for Mickey, Donald and all their buddies. Your trip to Disneyland will be better if you do a little research at one of several great websites. Disney has no-doubt done the most effective job of bringing imaginary characters to life, much to the delight of us all.
A few miles down the road at Knott’s Berry Farm you’ll find all the Peanuts gang at Camp Snoopy. The Peanuts guys have been at Knott’s Berry Farm for quite awhile now and seem to feel at home there.
Your next stop would be Universal Studios Hollywood and the many TV and movie stars such as Betty Boop, the Hulk, Batman and Spiderman, joined most recently by Homer Simpson and his wonderful family. Plan out your trip to the crazy characters at the Universal Studios theme park by doing a little research with the SoCal Vacation Guru.
The final stop in the character caravan would be up I-5 an hour or so, to Six Flags Magic Mountain. Thrill rides and roller coasters are perhaps the most notable feature of Six Flags. As soon as you get inside, you realize that the place is run by the Looney Tunes characters from the Warner Brothers cartoons.
You will find Yosemite Sam, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and the Roadrunner, some of whom hang out with the guests. There’s a nice area just for small children; the park management has figured out that not everyone is a teen-age or twenty- something thrill ride fanatic. You won’t have to go too far to find a couple of the Looney Tunes folks here and there in the park.
